Another lovely trip review we received from a guest visiting from Europe:

“Irene Edwards arranged a beautiful trip for me and a friend to the wonderful country of Costa Rica. Knowing a lot about the country herself, she made a program for us that combined nature and culture. She put a lot of effort in the realisation of our specific wishes and found the most wonderful and exciting places to stay. We enjoyed nature in the rainforest, spent a few nights in a hotel with a view of an active vulcano and enjoyed the wildlife in the peninsula. Thank you very much for that experience, Irene!”

A GreenSpot Honeymoon Review

We had the pleasure of planning a honeymoon for Perdue and her husband are thrilled to share this review with you!

“With all of that stress I had before the wedding , it was great to have Richard and Irene at GreenSpot.travel, there to do the hard work for me, and take a little worry out of one aspect of my life, my honeymoon. You checked in for us which was a life saver, since we would have had to check in sometime during our wedding! You surprised us with an upgrade to the Copa lounge area, and an upgrade to business class. With my husband being 6’6”, he definitely appreciated the extra leg room.

Our transportation and stay was worry free, with you having planned everything out for us. Our first night, even though we were coming in late, and leaving early and staying just the one night, you also upgraded out stay at Finca Rosa Blanca to the beautiful suite. What a great view to go to bed and wake up to. The place was beautiful and our breakfast there was delicious.

The hotel you chose for us at the cloud forest was very peaceful, and we enjoyed the cooler mountain air on our hikes, and the food there was spectacular as well, as good as any 5 start restaurant. The jungle eco-lodge we stayed at, was absolutely gorgeous, and the people were there to please. Every requests was met with a smile. The food was great, with great vegetarian options as well. We were able to catch a humpback whale and her calf, along with a pod of acrobatic dolphins, on our way out to snorkel. I was able to catch a glimpse of a shark and a sea turtle while snorkeling! It was really nice, our room was breathtaking, with its sunset view.

We arrived at the beach, and to the quaint little surf town, with great proximity to the beach. We walked to town to grab lunch, and to the beach to catch the sunset.

All in all we had a great honeymoon, and I am thankful for you for taking the worry out of my hands and planning it for me. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in traveling. It was also great to travel to these “green” places, all with recycling right in your room, great local food that was fresh everyday, and a wonderful hospitality at every place we stayed. I would recommend GreenSpot.travel anytime, and thanks again!”

We received this lovely review from Winters C. and her family and thought we would share her kind words with you!

“Irene Edwards of Greenspot Travel arranged an amazing trip to Costa Rica for our family in July 2012. I contacted her to help me plan a trip for myself, my husband and our two girls, ages 10 and 8. After a couple of quick emails and a phone conversation, Irene had put together a fantastic 9 day trip covering all of the areas we wanted to experience.

We started in the cloud forest ( El Silencio, which was amazing) then spent a couple of days in the rain forest (Arenal) on our way out to Nosara at the Harmony Hotel. We have traveled quite a bit with our children, throughout the States and Europe, and my 10 year old said it was the best vacation yet!

Irene did a great job organizing multiple activities that were appropriate for all of us with companies that treated us like gold. Our drivers/tour guides were polite, informative and always on time. The hotels were fabulous ecolodges with great attention to detail and service. I have already recommended Irene to 2 friends of mine who are planning trips to Costa Rica.”

We are thrilled to share this review from Peter and his young family. If you’re thinking of bringing the whole gang on your GreenSpot vacation to Costa Rica, we can help plan family-friendly activities that everyone will enjoy.

“My wife and children (ages 7 and 5) just returned from an amazing Costa Rica adventure arranged by Irene Edwards. We arrived in Costa Rica at the very end of March and traveled to three different locations: Tortuguero (Tortuga Lodge), Drakes Bay (La Paloma), and Puerto Jimenez (Lapa Rios.)

Everything was arranged perfectly, and it seemed like every person be it driver, pilot, or hotel staff we came in contact with knew our next steps better then we did ourselves. The children went absolutely nuts over the wildlife we saw which included monkeys (all 4 Costa Rican species!) crocodiles, iguanas, macaws, toucans, coatis, just to name a few. The kids are ready to go back tomorrow and whenever we go, I’m sure we’ll be contacting Irene again.”

We received this lovely travel memory from The Goldfarb Family and just had to share with you:

“As someone who spends her life writing and thinking about food, I really enjoyed the fresh flavors of Costa Rica, especially the fresh mangoes and pineapple, fresh herbs, and locally caught fish with exotic-tasting sauces. But what we loved most was the abundant wildlife in the national parks. I found it so enchanting to be sitting in the little open air dining room in Corcovado Tent Camp and Lodge, and watching a family of Spider Monkeys come through the camp for their daily snack. We watched them leap from tree to tree, shimmy up the trunks of the coconut and mango trees, and feast on the ripe mangoes, often while hanging from the tree by one their tails or perching in a wobbly branch. Any mangoes they didn’t finish or rejected after picking them, landed with a thud on the tent below, probably to be picked up soon by the giant iguanas or fire ants. Behind us was the Corcovado National Park, and in front of us, past the monkeys, were the waves of the Pacific Ocean crashing down on the empty beach at least empty of humans!”

Aviva has also shared two recipes inspired from her trip to Costa Rica:
